Hannah Rose Whittle’s practice is founded on process led explorations highlighting material agency and knowledges. She is interested in how learning about and becoming connected to raw material sources can alter our relationship and responsibility to our environments, becoming more aware of the impact of extractive processes and aiding in seeking alternative materials. During her tech fellowship in the ceramics workshop she intends to research sites of material extraction and industrial byproducts, testing these within frameworks of sustainable ceramics practices.
