Verf

In de verfwerkplaats worden residents geadviseerd over het gebruik van kunstharsen, de ontwikkeling van oppervlaktestructuren, conserveringsmethoden en nog veel meer. Het experiment met verschillende technieken, oud en nieuw, speelt een prominente rol. Er is een stofvrije spuitcabine en een ruimte voor het opspannen van zeer grote doeken.

    • Vacuum forming table with a heating facility to form plastic sheets

    • Large windows from 3m x 5m to stretch and treat canvas
    • All paint and resins are available, from working with old fashion Egg tempera until modern component systems, spraying, pouring, brushing.

Workshops

De technische werkplaatsen van de Rijksakademie zijn al decennialang een plek van innovatie en experiment. Onder leiding van specialisten die nauw samenwerken met de residents, faciliteren de werkplaatsen de uitwisseling van expertise en creëren ze de mogelijkheid tot interdisciplinaire projecten met zowel nieuwe als traditionele materialen en technieken.

Material Library

The Material Library collects information about materials used in the technical workshops of the Rijksakademie. The aim is to create a resource that promotes sustainable use of these materials by our residents. We also like to share this information with others in the field.
